Mariann is a trusted advisor to senior family office executives who aspire to be the best they can be for the families they serve. They rely on Mariann for advice, mentoring, and connection with true peers.
Mariann operates as an independent moderator of family office executive councils, programs the family office track at the Southeastern Family Office Forum and sits on the Executive Committee, is a consultant to financially successful families, works with the Private Investor Coalition to grow their membership base and speaks at key industry meetings.
During 22 years at Family Office Exchange, Mariann collaborated with family office leaders to establish the Private Investor Coalition; developed a network of families with Private Trust Companies; and created the Trustee and Beneficiary Workshop. She also created and led several peer "councils" for family office financial executives, future CEOs, CEOs and family members running their family offices. Mariann taught and helped facilitate discussions with attendees in small peer groups at the University of Chicago Booth Private Wealth Management Program.
Mariann began her career in public accounting and later transitioned to a private law firm where she focused on estate planning and tax. She is a licensed attorney and CPA.
Mariann received her BBA in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and her JD from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law.
